i have found myself listening to a lot of xiu xiu as i've been trying to finish my second sock (grey, with white glitter toes). i think it makes me knit faster in anxiety.
estelle once told me that she knits better listening to metal because she gets PUMPED!
i imagine that lissa listens to exaclty the kind of music you should when knitting.

hustler's hat

So ive learned how to make tight hats in little to no time at all.  i bust these things out like it aint no thang.  here are some pictures to prove their dankness: The hat i made last night. it has tassles! Kiki in another hat i made. Anyway these hats are easy to make, but i wont bother explaining since lizzy already figured it out and shes the other one who reads this probably.

ok so i got over being the only active member in this community and instead of being upset, i decided to own it instead. i can roll with hard knocks, and if it gets too depressing i'll just open up membership and let in the randoms. it's a toss up, really. any opinions? jk, i'm talking to myself and asking my own opinion on my own knitting livejournal community would just be RIDICULOUS.

omg i left all my yarn at school!

because i'm really serious about this...

Story of Yellow Yarn, in Pictures

1. Our tale begins in Germany in a yarn shoppe. A little backround shot of us in Germany (we didn't think to take a picture of the actual yarn shoppe) involving all active members, melanie, myself and lissa who you can't see because she is taking the picture.

2. Becomes tassles for a scarf for a Mr. D. Orkin.

3. In final gasps, is used as practice yarn for Hanna's first knitting attempt, a scarf turned do rag.

The End.

2nd WAVE.

it's winter time, except in california 'cause a west coast party don't stop, hm melanie? what?
anyway, back to the business at hand, which is, obviously, that this club needs to continue functioning despite having just three members. theo doesn't lj anymore, along with, uh, the rest of everyone, sam haus & co. so we've lost quite a bit of our following without the real life interaction.
no matter! the point is that while lissa still sucks, melanie got better than me and she can't even wear knit things in the heat. wtf. i once ruled this club, but then summer happened and everyone left and i mean lissa still sucks, but melanie took over dominating the knitting arena and i'm really upset. fuck stripes, ok?
just kidding lissa, you're really good. i'm being confrontational to get a rise out of you which will, naturally, revitalize the club. dig? yes. okay. good.
this is the only club on my facebook so it's kind of a big deal. second wave begins now.

(for inspiration:)
